Alexandria - Alexandria International - AEX

• Hazardous Cargo Loading Apron and Fixed Wing Aircraft Parking Apron

This project constructs three hazardous cargo hotpads for ammunition and munitions upload and an upgrade and expansion of the north aircraft parking apron. Included with the hotpads are parking pads; ground and tie down points; electrical service; exterior lighting and taxiway lighting; and marking. Improvement of Runway 18-36 keel section and overrun is also necessitated to support use by wide-bodied aircraft. The north apron encompasses demolition of buildings, selected hardstand, wash rack, and fire-training pit; new taxiway and staging area; access road, apron area lighting; taxiway and apron edge lighting; storm drainage and other site improvements; and marking. Aviation Alliance, Inc. is responsible for all design of electrical service, lighting, signage, and marking.

 

Lafayette - Lafayette Regional - LFT

• Preliminary Engineering for Lighting, Signage and NAVAIDs Adjustments Associated with the Runway 4R - 22L Safety Area Improvements at Lafayette Regional Airport

This project consisted of providing preliminary engineering services for the adjustments and improvements to the lighting, signage and NAVAID (including approach lighting) systems for Runway 4R-22L in connection with planned improvements to the runway safety areas and associated runway extension. Aviation Alliance, Inc. developed preliminary design and conceptual cost projections for the following items:
1. Demolition of existing distance remaining signs and provision for storage prior to reinstallation
2. Addition of runway edge lights to accommodate the planned runway extension and adjustments to existing edge lights to accommodate adjustments to runway configuration.
3. Addition of new guidance signs
4. Relocate of runway threshold lights
5. Provision for displaced threshold lights
6. Adjustments to electrical vault equipment
7. Provision of wiring, conduit, counterpoise, internal grounds and junction cans for all improvements
8. Demolition of existing FAA NAVAIDs by phase
9. Adjustments to MALSR
10. Determine need for relocation of glide slope antenna, localizer antenna array, RVR, PAPI, ASOS (as required), & REILs
11. Evaluate threshold siting, departure and glide path qualification surfaces for possible obstructions.

 

Lafayette - Alexandria International - LFT

• Preliminary Engineering for Lighting, Signage and NAVAIDs Adjustments Associated with the Runway 4R - 22L Safety Area Improvements at Lafayette Regional Airport

Provided final design & bid phase services for the modifications to the lighting, signage and FAA NAVAID systems for Runway 4R-22L in connection with planned improvements to the runway safety areas and associated runway extensions. Existing glide slope antenna and equipment shelter, touchdown RVR and PAPI equipment were relocated for the new landing threshold of Runway 22L. Also, a new GFM MALSR was established for Runway 22L. Existing glide slope antenna and equipment shelter, PAPI, and REIL equipment were relocated for the new landing threshold of Runway 4R.
